Men who have young and healthy skin probably don’t give much thought to looking after it. It looks great in the mirror so why bother huh ? Well, this is the time when you should be laying the groundwork and getting into the habit of caring for your skin. Most people, men especially, start thinking about this when it’s too late. The truth is that when the fine lines and age spots are starting to appear it’s almost too late.
The good news is that you don’t have to spend a fortune on products to keep your skin healthy and young looking. They might help as natural aging occurs but the foundation to healthy skin is making sure your lifestyle is right.
What does that mean ? Well, here are 4 things you should think about doing as soon as you finish reading this article. Not all at once though
1. Give The Death Stick The Flick
Aging of the body and skin is greatly increased when you smoke tobacco. Smoking has many serious effects inside the body and ultimately on our surface layer – the skin.
For instance, when smoke comes in contact with the skin it can cause biochemical alterations to the structure of the skin. It is thought to destroy normal healthy skin by damaging the collagen and elastin proteins that can be found in the deeper dermal layers. These are responsible for the elasticity and pliability of the skin tissue.
Men who smoke are more likely to get wrinkles and sagging of the skin. Why ? It’s because of the nicotine in cigarette tobacco. Nicotine constricts the blood vessels and deprives oxygen and nutrient distribution, which slows cellular production and growth. If you want healthy and less prematurely aged skin, you should stop smoking now.

2. Get Your Sweat On
Doing regular exercise can maintain the body’s strength, stamina, posture and keep the skin in good condition. Conversely a lack of exercise or a sedentary lifestyle can encourage the body to slow down and trigger the onset of the aging process.
Exercise gets the blood flowing which gets nutrients to the places it needs to be. As we age, the extremities of the body like the feet and hands may not get the nutrients they need leading to problems.
Sweating during an exercise routine can release toxins from the body. It also encourages natural sebum oil to be released. Sebum is the body’s natural moisturizer.
